Iconic Charles Babbage Drawings at Science Museum
Overview
For the first time, the public will be able to examine intricate plans of automatic calculating machines created by Victorian philosopher and mathematician Charles Babbage. Highlights include drawings of Babbage’s Difference Engine No 1, Difference Engine No 2 and Analytical Engine. The exhibition also includes a video and an annotated breakdown of how the engines would have worked.
