This display examines the recent conservation treatment of a commode made for Queen Marie-Antoinette and now back on show in the Study at the Wallace Collection. This remarkable chest of drawers was made for the Queen’s most private room, her cabinet intérieur, at Versailles by Jean-Henri Riesener.
