Overview
Tate Modern will stage the most comprehensive exhibition ever devoted to foremost Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. This will be the first major Lichtenstein retrospective for twenty years, bringing together 125 of the artist’s most definitive paintings and sculptures. Built on new research and scholarship, the exhibition will reassess Lichtenstein’s work and his enduring legacy. Before you see the exhibition, come and learn more about the artist, including about his Jewish background and the major mural he painted in Israel. Julia Weiner has been art critic for the Jewish Chronicle for 20 years. She has been involved with the LJCC for 17 years, first as a lecturer and now curating exhibitions. She is Professor of Art History at Regent’s College, London and also works part-time at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
