Overview

Early in 1983, the Schubert Ensemble came together for the first time to play Schubert’s Trout Quintet in St. Martin-in-the-Fields. This much loved and sparkling work, which gives the Ensemble its distinctive line-up with double bass, forms an appropriate centrepiece to the opening concert of its 30th anniversary celebrations.
