Overview
The first of two sci-fi/horror hybrids from producer Richard Gordon gets underway with a story by one of the earliest female science fiction writers, Amelia Reynolds Long.? Macabre doings are clearly afoot when residents of a Canadian community are found with their brains and spinal cords missing. It all culminates in a classic siege sequence, viewed as influential on everything from Hitchcock’s The Birds to Romero’s zombie movies.
