Overview

A charming, satirical and moving road trip that sees an Iranian diplomat travel into Kurdistan to answer a letter demanding for 111 young women to be provided with husbands otherwise they will commit mass suicide. Directed by the sister of famous Iranian filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi, this is a stunning tour de force that evokes Kurdistan’s present situation with an eccentric premise and powerful visuals. The issues that the film conveys are serious, but it has a superb structure that sporadically injects dreamlike scenes and humor.
