Brooks Williams + Sam Sallon + Tricia Kane at Green Note
Overview
Brooks Williams: Ranked one of the Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists, singer-songwriter Brooks Williams writes groove-laden songs and delivers them with an easy-going vocal style and monstrous guitar chops. Walking the line between blues and Americana, Williams has worked stages worldwide for over 25 years, amassing a staggering back-catalogue of songs, recordings and tales. With nearly 20 CDs to his name – and more on the way – this Statesboro Georgia native is, according to americanaUK, 'impossible not to like.'
\nSam Sallon: London-born, Sam Sallon's first studio release, an untitled limited-pressing three-track acoustic ep in 2005, brought Sam to the attention of some of Europe's top live promoters. Since his first UK tour, ten dates with Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriella in 2006, Sam has played a string of broad reaching supports from I am Kloot at the Islington Academy and Nouvelle Vague at the Pigalle to Peter Doherty at his landmark sellout RAH show, for Dot Allison at her UK album launch and for Lyle Lovett at the Royal Festival Hall. He will be releasing an EP in January 2013 called Kathy's Song, featuring Sam's take on the Paul Simon classic.
\nTricia Kane: From deep in the North Yorkshire Dales comes a new singer-songwriter and great talent! Her name is Tricia Kane and she has just released her first EP 'Still Faintly Scratched' on the 'Folklore Records' Label. Influenced by traditional folk and country, Tricia brings original songs with fresh lyrics, catchy melodies and striking vocals to the acoustic scene.
