Montgomery Clift Season at BFI
Overview
Charismatic and insightful, Hollywood legend Montgomery Clift is celebrated in a series of film screenings at the BFI.
The actor first burst onto the film scene in the 1940s, bringing a potent sensitivity to all of his roles. A troubled psyche and tragic personal life shortened his career, yet there’s still much to celebrate. The Clash even wrote a song The Right Profile about him.
Screenings include A Place in the Sun, The Search, Red River, The Heiress, I Confess, The Young Lions, The Misfits, Raintree County and From Here to Eternity.
