Overview

Sumudu is a remarkable singer-songwriter from London who has sung with musical luminaries Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, Elvis Costello and Sir Bob Geldof. The Barnsley-born songstress of Sri Lankan heritage has single-handedly written and arranged her first album Waiting For You, playing most of the instruments herself with production from Grammy Award-winning producer Kipper, of Sting fame. The BBC is comparing her to Eva Cassidy and Karen Carpenter.
