Twisted Hearts: Subculture Sounds + Moses Jazz at Notting Hill Arts Club
Overview
After three years of pioneering Nottingham's global party scene (hosting two monthly events and occasional street parties) and selling out their London launch party at the artsclub earlier in 2012 (see photos here), Twisted Hearts Club return to their new London residency. Twisted Hearts Club is a carnival-themed party where we create a visual and interactive world within a club. It was one of Mixmag's top three club nights (world wide) in May 2012; 'full of a quirky, music-loving crowd who whole-heartedly immerse themselves in the fresh originality of the Twisted Hearts concept,' they wrote.* Twisted Hearts has a well-earned reputation for transforming venues and creating nights of colour and beautiful chaos; with all sorts of decorations, body-painters and performers.
\nThe music is a global mash-up of party music based around Latin, Balkan, Jamaican and tropical sounds with resident DJ Subculture Sounds and guests likely to throw in dancehall, hip hop, reggae and house classics. Subculture Sounds has been the main resident alongside guests such as Jesse Rose, Renaissance Man, Buraka Som Sistema, Solo, Douster and Mowgli.
