Urban Botany at Regent's Park
Overview
Urban botany can be confusing. The rich mixture of natives and non-natives in unusual habitats is quite unlike 'normal' botanising. The course will concentrate on the identification of less familiar non-native plants and explore the recent, rapid changes in urban botany. Sites in and around The Regent's Park. Dr Mark Spencer is a botanist at the Natural History Museum as well as a recorder for the LNHS and BSBI. He specialises in urban botany, non-natives and the impacts of environmental change.
