Identifying Non-native Invasive Plants at Regent's Park

Overview

A brief introduction to non-native invasive species including the well known Japanese knotweed as well as its less familiar relatives; other plant groups of concern including invasive water plants will also be covered. The course will also explore similar native species that may be present or confused with invasive taxa. Using sites in and around The Regent's Park. Dr Mark Spencer is a botanist at the Natural History Museum as well as a recorder for the LNHS and BSBI. He specialises in urban botany, non-natives and the impacts of environmental change.
