A Language for Hearing + Panel Discussion at Barbican Cinema

Overview

Beginning with his collaborations with John Cage, sound became a key interest for Duchamp. The possibilities of sound for film have always been a flagship for avant-garde filmmakers, redefining what is possible in film. This programme includes Anne McGuire’s I’m Crazy and You’re Not Wrong (1997) and Bruce Baillie’s All My Life (1966) among others. Followed by panel discussion.
