Faith in Suburbia: A Shared Photographic Journey at Gunnersbury Park Museum

Overview

Faith in Suburbia is an exhibition showing photographs taken by senior members of faith communities in Ealing and Hanwell as part of a collaborative photography project. Working with professional photographer Liz Hingley and Dr Claire Dwyer, a geographer from University College London, participants visited each others' places of worship to take photographs and then shared the curation of the photographs to produce striking 'faith banners'. The exhibition includes reflections on the history of religious buildings in Hanwell and West Ealing by Dr Dwyer and a specially commissioned set of portraits of the participants by Liz Hingley.
