Ballet Level 1 at The Place

For students who have a basic understanding of classical ballet technique but who would like to develop their skills. These classes will allow participants to gain a wider knowledge of ballet vocabulary, understand and improve their technique and confidence and enable them to progress to more advanced classes. Denzil Bailey trained at West Street Ballet School in Covent Garden. He has danced with several classical dance companies including English National Ballet, London City Ballet, the Dancer’s Company and Ballet Black. His performing credits include work with Mark Baldwin Dance Company, Jazz Xchange Music and Dance Co. Souls In Motion (European Tour) and also the operas Carmen, Aida and Orpheus in the Underworld. Denzil is co-founder and ballet master with Ballet Black, guest teacher with Rambert Dance Company and Tavaziva Dance Company and as a freelance teacher has also worked with Billy Elliot, Millennium 2000 Dance School and as a guest teacher at Colombo Dance Centre, Zurich. Denzil is also a regular weekly teacher at the Pineapple Dance Centre, Covent Garden and Dance Works.
