Easy Street + The Floorwalker at BFI Southbank

Celebrate the life and films of Charlie Chaplin at our special archive Funday. Charlie Chaplin is the greatest comic actor of all time - using mime, slapstick and hilarious visual routines, he brought joy and laughter to audiences across the world. Easy Street is based on the Victorian London street in Lambeth where Chaplin was brought up. The Floorwalker: Charlie gets mistaken for a floorwalker (a shop assistant) who looks very like him, in a department store where detectives are investigating some missing money.
