Arthur, a grouchy elderly man who struggles with emotional expression, fearfully opposes his terminally-ill wife Marion’s participation in a contemporary group choir led by singing instructor Elizabeth. Bubbly, perceptive and endlessly determined, Elizabeth soon detects that Arthur is suppressing more than his feelings and works to unlock his voice. This highly enjoyable film about love, loss and self-discovery has a huge range of musical choices and terrific performances from the entire cast.
