Fundamentals: Voice, Text and Acting at The Actors Centre

An eight-week course in vocal technique, text and acting for Standard members and those who have completed the Introduction to Acting course. We will cover: understanding and developing vocal technique - body, breath, voice quality, resonance, range and articulation; vocal delivery and the interpretation of text; and pulling voice and acting seamlessly together in performance. The time in each three hour session will be divided between looking at vocal technique itself and how it is applied in text work and acting. A range of texts and monologues will be looked at, studied and coached to performance level demonstrating the links between good vocal technique and acting.
