Fundamentals: Improvisation at The Actors Centre
Overview
Improvisation is a key skill in any actor’s repertoire, from coping with live performance to succeeding in auditions. Actors are constantly asked to think off the script and onto their feet. This weekend workshop will allow actors to learn the basics of improvisation, the freedom to play and the joy of supporting your scene partner. Starting with games and working towards fully improvised scenes, this workshop will give you the essential skills to work in a rehearsal room, discover character and re-energise your performance. You will develop a sense of fun and play that can be taken back into professional work.
