Overview

Easter Monday 2013 brings Sir John Eliot Gardiner's most ambitious Bach project - the Bach Marathon, twelve inspiring and elevating hours of back-to-back music celebrating J.S Bach. Join the Monteverdi Choir, the English Baroque Soloists and an array of distinguished guests including violinist Viktoria Mullova, cellist Alban Gerhardt, and harpsichordist Robert Levin. The line-up for the day also includes the Britten Sinfonia, Cameron Carpenter, the Woven Gold Community Choir led by Howard Moody – and the Royal Albert Hall audience, who will be invited to participate in the Easter cantata Christ lag in Todesbanden.
