The Witches at Idea Store Whitechapel

A little boy, who has just lost his parents, is taken to England by his grandmother. They stay at a hotel where a group of witches have gathered to prepare a plot to rid the world of all children. Angelica Huston is terrific as a nasty witch in Nicolas Roeg’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s wickedest children’s novel. 9 year-old orphan Luke was brought up by his grandmother Helga, whose bedtime stories involved more witches than daffodils. When they move to England’s seaside for Helga to have a period of rest, Luke uncovers a witches’ convention and sees children turned into mice!
