Elsbeth Juda: Images from the Factory Floor at Victoria and Albert Museum
Overview
Elsbeth Juda (born 1911), known professionally as ‘Jay’, studied photography under the Bauhaus artist Lucia Moholy before becoming the in-house photographer for British export and design magazine The Ambassador. Now 101 years old, a selection of her work is included in the current display 'Island Stories: Fifty Years of Photography in Britain. Erika Lederman shows us the work of this artist who admits to being 'particularly attracted to the absurd'.
