Mari Wilson at Pizza Express: The Pheasantry
Overview
Mari Wilson - Neasden's Queen of Soul, who crashed onto the music scene in the '80s with The Wilsations - in an intimate show accompanied by piano performing songs from all of her albums, including early hits like ‘Cry Me a River’ and ‘Just What I Always Wanted’, and and unusual choice of covers (including the showstopping ‘Wild Horses’ and the sublime ‘Be My Baby’). Also produced a one-woman musical, The Love Thing, which debuted at The Leicester Square Theatre, November 2010. Retro-pop, jazz, soul and irony - add to this Mari’s unique style of glamour and storytelling and you’re in for a night to remember.
