Balkankan: Gypsy Hill + Boris Viande + DJ Shefitza at Ginglik

Starting out as a producer duo, the Gypsy Hill live band soon grew to a 8 piece beats and brass extravaganza – the band have a fast-growing reputation for their high energy shows - with big screen visuals and dancers also thrown into the mix. DJ and a trumpeter all in one at any given time! Spreading good vibes wherever he goes, Boris Viande plays festivals, concert halls, old creepy bars, town squares, and even your living room! Our special guest from France is also a talented producer with 3 Balkan Boombastic EPs on his own label VLAD. These also feature original tracks from French electro Balkan artists such as DJ Stanbul, Vladivostok and Sauvage FM. Regular EP release parties take place at La Dame de Canton (Paris) which have seen likes of European DJs such as Ion Din Anina, DJ Shefitza and Neki Stranac (Shazalakazoo). The original Balkan girl – resident DJ at Balkankan@Ginglik and the Magic Garden, Battersea, she’s played at after parties for Boban and Marko Markovic, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Shantel and the Bucovina Orkestar, supported Orkestra del Sol, Radio Zastava, and had guest appearances at Rumpus! She’s swinging Gypsy dub, Balkan beats and house in a true electro style - fast and furious! No rest for the wicked - her spins will have you jumping and begging for more, as she brings her energy through the tunes that take you on a journey of discovery.
