Making Theatre: Process, Production, and Performance at Victoria and Albert Museum
Overview
Join director and producer Giles Ramsay and get behind the scenes to find out how a play develops – from the smallest acorn of an idea to a completed production on stage. This course considers all the aspects of how a play is made, including the roles of writers, directors, designers, actors, producers and critics. Drawing on examples from some of the most celebrated productions of past and current theatre, it explores the dynamics of all the relationships involved and how the interests of those backstage need to be balanced with those on stage to create a truly great play.
