Kanjoos - The Miser at Stratford Circus
Overview
Molière's classic comedy 'The Miser' is transported from 17th-century France to modern India in an adaptation by Hardeep Singh Kohli and Jatinder Verma. In this money-mad maelstrom lurks Harjinder, a man obsessed with hoarding his wealth by adhering strictly to Gandhi's principles of minimum dress and food. He hates spending money with a passion, whether it be on his household or his children who themselves are desperate for marriage and obsessed with the Bollywood life-style of Mumbai.
