The Arrival at Jacksons Lane Theatre
Overview
The Arrival is a theatre and circus show based on Oscar-winner Shaun Tan's graphic novel, which tells the story of a man who leaves everything behind. Abandoning his family, home, language, work and status, equipped only with the objects he can carry in his suitcase, his intelligence and imagination, he must constantly re-invent himself. This age-old tale of migration is explored through imagery, multi-lingual narrative, music, choreography and circus arts. During the Alchemy Festival, get a sneak preview of the show as it is rehearsed in situ.
