Overview

Eclectic indie-folk singer-songwriter King Charles started writing music at the age of 17. His first band, Adventure Playground, toured with the likes of Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale before breaking up in 2008. King Charles released his debut single 'Time of Eternity' in 2010 and quickly attracted attention from the likes of DJs Zane Lowe, Lauren Laverne and Huw Stephens. In the same year, he was awarded the prestigious International Songwriting Competition by a panel that included Tom Waits, Kings of Leon, Timbaland, Black Francis and Jerry Lee Lewis. King Charles then went on to support Mumford & Sons on their sold-out US tour in late 2010.
