\nThe Jacobite Re-Enactment Weekend is an entertaining insight into the 1745 Jacobite uprising against the Duke of Newcastle. Politically a powerful man as Secretary of State and living at Claremont, he was responsible for rallying all the southern militias and regular forces of Britain in response to the Jacobite rebellion.
