The Cutting Edge: Ian Stone + Alistair Barrie + Paul Thorne + Steve Gribbin at The Comedy Store, London
Overview
Stand-up comedy. Ian Stone: The first son of an average Jewish family, from a young age Ian Stone was torn between pleasing his parents and having fun. Finally in 1991 fun won - Ian hasn’t looked back since and he is now one of the most respected comedians in Britain with numerous television credits to his name. One of Ian’s claims to fame is that he is one of the few comedians to have the title of his Edinburgh show deemed “unsuitable for publication” by festival organisers. Alistair Barrie: Actor and comedian Alistair Barrie has been performing professionally for nearly an entire century, well much in demand as both a headline act and MC across the international circuit. He has played all over the UK and Ireland, as well as Australia, Dubai, Singapore, Belgium, Indonesia and a ship in the North Sea. Further plans for this year include trips to Bangkok and a gala evening for the British Council in Prague. Paul Thorne: Paul Thorne is one of Britain’s most established and sought-after stand-ups. As well as performing at all of the UK’s major comedy venues and festivals he can be seen weekly as a member of The Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material based on the week’s news. Steve Gribbin: Steve Gribbin is a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose scabrous comedy songs and off-the-wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit. Also appearing are Sean Collins and Martin Coyote.
