Djerba is a unique island, off the Tunisian-Libyan coast, in which 1,200 Jews live in harmony with an Arab-Muslim community of 100,000 for centuries. They speak Hebrew to each other, tune to the Israeli radio every day, have modern Israeli names, and visit relatives in Israel on a regular basis. The community was shaken after the revolution, but despite calls from the Israeli government, only a handful chose to immigrate.
