Ludovico Einaudi at Barbican Hall

Overview

Born in Turin and trained at the Conservatorio in Milan, composer/pianist Ludovico Einaudi's music has been described as minimalist, classical, ambient, contemporary and deeply touching; the welcome sound of stillness in a hectic world. A former pupil of Luciano Berio, his hauntingly beautiful and evocative music has kept him among the best-selling and most requested recording artists, particularly in the UK and Italy. His output has included ballets, operas and soundtracks as well as his specifically-conceived piano albums.
