Mercury Prize-winning alternative rock band who were at the forefront of the 90s Britpop movement. Formed in 1989, Suede enjoyed great commercial success as well as considerable critical acclaim throughout the 90s. With three number one albums and a string of top ten singles under the belts, Suede disbanded in 2003 after a greatest hits album and retrospective live shows. After much speculation, however, the band announced in early 2010 that they would reform for a handful of gigs and a possible studio album.
