The Cutting Edge: Nathan Caton + Alistair Barrie + Martin Coyote + Paul Thorne at The Comedy Store, London
Overview
Nathan Caton: Nathan is a young, rising black-British comic, gigging on the circuit since late 2004.
\nSince his comedy career began Nathan has gone on to win various awards, accolades and built himself a solid reputation on the comedy scene. He has played at many different venues across Britain, including the Edinburgh Fringe in 2005, where he was a hot starlet, and then returning in 2007 to perform in his two-man stand-up show entitled 'The Honky and The Wog'. Alistair Barrie: Actor and comedian Alistair Barrie has been performing professionally for nearly an entire century. He has played all over the UK and Ireland, as well as Australia, Dubai, Singapore, Belgium, Indonesia and a ship in the North Sea. Further plans for this year include trips to Bangkok and a gala evening for the British Council in Prague. Martin Coyote: For eight years Martin has been a pivotal member of the Comedy Store's flagship topical show, The Cutting Edge. He is a prolific writer of challenging and thought-provoking gags. Exuding a warmth and laddish charm, he generates an equally glowing response from his audiences. They genuinely like him. Even the most hardened hecklers seek his approval. Paul Thorne: Paul Thorne is one of Britain’s most established and sought-after stand-ups. As well as performing at all of the UK’s major comedy venues and festivals he can be seen weekly as a member of The Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material based on the week’s news. Steve Gribbin: Steve Gribbin is a diminutive guitar-wielding satirist from Liverpool whose scabrous comedy songs and off-the-wall observations have made him one of the firm favourites of the comedy circuit. Sean Meo: Originally a full-time snooker player, Sean is now firmly established as one of the finest comedians on the British circuit. His success is due to his upbeat, friendly approach and the strength of his varied material which, although based on everyday observations, often takes on a surreal quality.
