Overview

Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in Aime Cesaire's drama, a tale about the rise and fall of political leader Patrice Lumumba, who was determined to free his people from Belgian colonial rule, and inspired both courage and betrayal, in equal measure. Translated by Ralph Manheim, choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and directed by Joe Wright.
