No Monkey Business at BFI Southbank
Overview
Jim Carroll’s music hall act is curtailed when his creditors impound his performing ape, but he persuades chum Charlie to don a gorilla suit so that the show can go on. Things get complicated when headstrong young Clare Barrington – blissfully unaware of the deception – hires Jim to smuggle the ape into her house to prove to her professor father that animals are just as intelligent as men – if not more so.
