Overview

A little-known Lubitsch film, scripted by Billy Wilder and Leigh Brackett from a French play. US multi-millionaire Michael Barndon (Cooper) marries his eighth wife, Nicole (Colbert), the daughter of a penniless French Marquis. Barndon deploys marital techniques from The Taming of the Shrew before himself becoming The Tamer Tamed.
