Overview
An imaginary island off the coast of 19th century Sicily makes for a scandalous setting for a lesbian love story. Shut up in a cave by her father when she refuses an arranged marriage, Angela is saved by her mother who convinces the curate to change Angela's name and sex on her birth certificate to Angelo.
