Script Read East at Hackney Picturehouse Attic

A script reading event where new scripts are read by professional actors to a live audience. To celebrate we have a night of words and rhythm. On the night Script Read East presents Luke Stephen’s pilot sitcom ‘The Other Side of Summer ‘, a comedy with a light –hearted look at love and loss between lovers and friend, and short film script ‘LACEWING’ by Margaret Folarin, A happy young family excitedly make their annual preparations for the Notting Hill Carnival. Craig and Sammi paint the faces of their daughter and her friends, ready for the mas. Craig, however, is dragged back into an ugly past while the colourful parades go by.
