Art and Fashion at Sotheby's Institute of Art

For over a century, high art and high fashion have been closely connected. From Coco Chanel’s designs for Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes to Yves Saint Laurent’s Mondrian Collection of the mid 1960s, artists and designers have collaborated in fields as various as painting, dance, photography and film. Over six weeks, participants will explore the background and legacy of these vibrant partnerships, culminating with the contemporary art scene of the New Millenium.
