Light Show at Hayward Gallery
Overview
Following hot on the heels of an exhibition on 'invisible' art, Light Show at the Hayward Gallery focuses on another, equally ephemeral medium, for a showcase in which light itself is used as a material to sculpt and shape space. Featuring works from the 1960s onwards, by such 'luminaries' as Dan Flavin, Olafur Eliasson and Anthony McCall, the exhibition promises to include some of the most visually stimulating artworks created in recent years, as well as rare pieces not seen for decades and re-created specially for the Hayward.
