Charlotte Cory: Pursued by a Bear at Shakespeare's Globe
Overview
A temporary display of Charlotte Cory’s hilarious but poignant images of an alternative 19th century in which the animals are in charge. The artist’s reworked Victorian visiting cards both amuse and unnerve, and have acquired a cult status in recent years. This exhibition marks the publication by Shakespeare’s Globe of 'Pursued by a Bear', Charlotte’s illustrated selection of Shakespeare quotations, available now from the Globe Shop.
