Andr'e Dane Parchment at Canary Wharf: Window Galleries

Born in Jamaica in 1979, Andr'e Dane served in the British Armed Forces as an Infantry Soldier between 2004-10 and now works at Canary Wharf as a security guard. While serving in Iraq his wife would send paints, brushes and canvases from England. It was difficult to keep his paintings with him while on operational duties, constantly moving from one place to another, he would have to pack them through the side netting of the armoured vehicles in order to keep them safe when moving camp.
