The Snowman + Peter and the Wolf at Barbican Hall

Raymond Briggs' beloved animated film The Snowman is being shown on the big screen, while the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera injects the tingle-down-the-spine magic into the Howard Blake song Walking in the Air.

After the interval, Tamsin Greig and the orchestra brings Peter and his animal chums to life before your ears in a charming tale of courage and compassion, awash with dancing strings, quacking oboes, fluttering flutes and prowling horns.
