The Golden Cowpat at Pleasance Theatre Islington
Overview
A drama for children. Hector placed the cowpat on the kitchen table. He sat there looking at it and thought. 'What on earth do I do with that?' Then he had an idea. Hector’s farm is in a sorry state. Crops no longer grow, trees droop and grass is thin on the ground. All his animals have been sold on, except his 24 cows. One of them is Betty, the naughtiest cow on the farm. But one day Hector discovers a mysterious golden cowpat in their field. This sets him and the bearer of the priceless poos, Betty, on a quest to sell them and make a fortune. Their epic journey takes them across a magical and dangerous region where they meet an eccentric wise man, a greedy mayor and the dastardly Mackie McKee. Hector and Betty must work out how much their golden cowpats really mean to them before it is too late.
