A Day in the Seventeenth Century! at The Wallace Collection
Overview
A free fun-filled day packed full of talks, performances and activities celebrating Dutch masterpieces and the community-curated Journeys East: A Discovery of Hidden Treasures exhibition. Talks exploring the Dutch masterpieces and the histories of the Dutch East India Company will be given by Hilary Williams, Lucy Davis, Curator of Old Master Pictures, and Stefanie van Gemert. Performances will include interactive music sessions with the Joy of Sound, baroque cello sessions with Tabitha Tuckett and costumed performances given by Rembrandt’s Jean Pellicorne and Govaert Flinck’s Young Archer. Families can enjoy making traditional Indian Rangoli patterns and many more exhibition-inspired activities.
