Overview

Chilling adaptations of two of MR James’ tales of the supernatural. Written to evoke a sense of the spiritual in the face of 20th-century rationalism, they continue to unnerve audiences today. To celebrate our DVD releases of these atmospheric adaptations, the BFI’s Alex Davidson will welcome director Lawrence Gordon Clark to introduce the films and join a discussion to reflect on his work and take questions from the audience.
