Overview

A festival of stand-up theatre, featuring serious stuff by funny people and funny stuff by serious people. CPT’s Beyond the Joke Festival celebrates what happens when stand-up and theatre meet. It is headlined by 'The Way You Tell Them' by Rachel Mars, an unmissable solo show about the compulsion and desire to be funny. It’s about gags, laughing and families that use jokes in places that aren’t normal. The show has been developed as part of CPT’s Starting Blocks programme 2012, and also at the Basement, Brighton.
