Lunchtime Violin Recital: Jacqueline Wedderburn-Maxwell at St. Martin-in-the-Fields
Overview
Khachaturian: Violin Sonata in G minor op 1; Wieniawski: Variations on an Original Theme in A op 15; Khachaturian: Sabre Dance. Born on 5 April 1993, Jacqueline made her debut with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 9. Aged 10, she was awarded a full scholarship to study in England at The Yehudi Menuhin School for musically gifted children, under Natalia Boyarsky. On returning to South Africa in 2006, she resumed her studies with Professor Jack de Wet. In 2009, at age 16, she began her BMus (Hons) Performance Degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Jacqueline is studying with Pieter Schoeman, Leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently in her fourth year, she will complete her degree in July 2013.
