Everyday Life in Medieval London 1000-1500AD at Museum of London
Overview
What did London look like between 1000 and 1500? Where and how did Londoners live? What did they eat and drink? How did they enjoy themselves and where did they go shopping? What illnesses did they suffer from and how were they treated? How did they deal with sanitation? This module explores these and other questions. It is based at the Museum of London and students will be encouraged and supported to study and interpret documents, plans and maps relating to the physical growth of London, and explore what archaeological and documentary evidence reveals about the domestic life and health of Londoners in the period.
